Tax on drug advertising- "Under a bill filed by Hynes, drug manufacturers would be required to pay $1 for every $1 they spend on television, radio, print and Internet advertising within Massachusetts. The definition of advertising would include money spent by drug makers on visits to health professionals and free samples they leave with health care providers. The money would go into an interest-bearing state trust fund and help pay for the state Prescription Advantage program."
