Cup of Java

Friday is here again.
It's amazing how the week goes by so fast even when I'm not being very productive. Well, I guess I was somewhat productive this week. I had a second interview for a job on Wednesday which I think went well. And yesterday I went into town and got my portfolio back from a place I had left it for them to look through. I spent the day with a friend and we went to lunch and bummed around and I spent way too much money. We went to Target and I picked up some things for the apartment...a utensil holder for the counter (since we have waaay too many cooking utensils and they wouldn't all fit in the drawer- I think we have something like 6 spatulas *lol*), some placemats for the table, two trivets, a curtain rod and a curtain sash thing (which wasn't long enough so I have to go back and buy another one so that it will look half decent.) I'm debating going back today to get the other one. I have to go to the market and get some stuff because we're having our first guests over for dinner tonight and I didn't get a chance to pick up the food stuff yesterday.I was having trouble deciding what to cook but I think I settled on roasted red pepper and garlic chicken with mint potatoes and brocolli and cheese. And for desert I'm thinking of making up a chocolate mousse pie that my friend gave me the recipe for a while back. I've made it only once but it's pretty easy to make and comes out tasty.It's soo nice to be able to cook in a "real" kitchen compared at least to the sad area of my livingroom in my last apartment that went by that name. Oh and I carved the pumpkin I got at the farmers market and it looks really great. I hadn't carved a pumpkin in years and I forgot how fun and theraputic it is. I want to carve more but it seems somewhat silly. I don't need our apartment covered in carved pumpkins. Fun as it would be :)
