PromoGuy's Monday Mission 2.34
1. What do you do to make things better when you feel sad and/or lonely? Put on some music that makes me happy. Usually Depeche Mode or Sting or RHCP.
2. Are you a "touchy-feely" person? That is, do you like to touch people you don't know that well? And on the flipside of that, do you like being touched by someone you aren't close with? Not usually. Sometimes after a drink or four I will get a bit more "touchy-feely". I don't mind too much being touched depending on who it is and where it is (for example I DON'T like it when I'm on public transportation and someone brushes against me).
3. Do you like to have "me" time, time to yourself to be alone and relax? Or do you prefer to just do your own thing with someone else in the room? When was the last "me" time you got and what did you do? I like "me" time. I need it now and again to regain my strength but I don't always need that much of it. Last me thing....I'm doing it now :)
4. Generally speaking, how do you feel about the concept of marriage? Are you the marrying type? Do you think the act of getting married means something today or is it simply just "a piece of paper?" I'm not really sure how I feel about marriage. I've got mixed feelings on it. I also think that it is much more of a governmental thing than anything else- benefits, etc type of stuff. I think there's one side of it that is proclaiming to love someone for the rest of your life and then the other side of it which is the benefits that a married couple have. I just wish that they would get on with having same sex marriages be legal. MetaFi had a thing about it and it's so stupid because the only real reason for it to not be legal is because of some religious idea that it's bad or wrong. And, since there's supposed to be a seperation of state and church I don't see why the government doesn't legalize it. It annoys me. I think that some day my gay friends and relatives deserve the option to get married if they want to.
5. That said, as many as 25 states have passed legislation regulating who they believe should be the "marrying type." What are your thoughts on the banning of same-sex marriages? Heh. i didn't read ahead did I? See above.
6. If there was one law you had the ability to create or change, what would it be? Hard to say. I can think of quite a few.
7. What would you like someone visiting your Blog for the first time to know about you? Now is your chance! Hah. No one visits my blog. It's me talking to myself.
BONUS: Can you hear them? Yes. Can you tell them to keep it down a bit please?
Monday Memories
When you were a child, did you have someone, a relative, an old family friend, an older sibling maybe.. who told you scary stories? They might have been ghost stories... they might have been axe murderer hiding in the garden stories...? Who was it, and what were the stories? No one I every knew growing up did that. Then again I never really liked scary stories either. I remember in elementary school we'd lock people in the bathroom and do "Bloody Mary". We never did much more than that in the way of scaring people...although that was pretty scary too!
